5 things God is teaching me in this season

As this year began, I didn’t have all the answers. In fact, I still feel like there are many things I cannot see clearly. But in the middle of that, I’ve begun to recognize something beautiful: God is always speaking, forming, and guiding even when the full picture isn’t visible.

In this season, there are five things the Lord has been marking deeply in my heart:

1. Clarity doesn’t always come before obedience

Many times I’ve wanted to have everything clear before taking a step, dates, direction, provision… everything in order. But God has been teaching me that obedience doesn’t depend on having everything figured out, but on trusting His voice. There are steps that only make sense after you’ve taken them.

Obeying without fully understanding is trusting.

Before starting AHOP, we sat in that same place and made a list of things we dreamed for that space.

At the time, it felt like a crazy idea, but one year later, all of that and so much more had become a reality.

2. His presence is the true destination

It’s easy to focus on what’s next the next step, the next open door. But the Lord has reminded me that the destination has never been a place… it’s Him.

If I have His presence, I’m already exactly where I need to be.

Whether in the Middle East or in a village in Guatemala, wherever I go, may it always be in His presence.

3. Community is part of the design

God uses people to sustain, affirm, and also lovingly correct us. Walking with others isn’t always comfortable, but it is necessary. It’s in community where we are formed, where we learn to truly love, and where our calling is strengthened.

We were not designed to walk alone.

Organizations, friends, people, churches, and the groups we serve with help us grow—but they also affirm our calling.

4. Provision follows obedience

I don’t always see provision before taking the step, but I have seen God’s faithfulness after obeying. He is never late. He never fails. God provides exactly what we need, at the right time.

We decided to support the families we serve by providing clothing, and God provided exactly what we needed.

5. God is working deeper than I can see

There are seasons where it seems like nothing is happening… but in reality, everything is happening. God is shaping the heart, aligning desires, and preparing the way. And even when I don’t fully understand it, I trust that His work is perfect.

So if this season feels uncertain for you, I want to encourage you with this: God doesn’t need you to understand everything in order to guide you. He only needs your willingness. Step by step, He is faithful to reveal what is needed at the right time.

How you can support

If this journey resonates with you, I want to invite you to be part of it in a practical way.

As a full-time missionary, I depend on monthly support to continue serving. Currently, I am at 45% of my monthly support goal, trusting that God will provide the remaining 55% through His people.

If you feel led to support, whether through a one-time gift or as a monthly partner, you would be directly sowing into what God is doing through my life.

Thank you for praying, for walking with me, and for being part of this story. Truly, I couldn’t do this without you.
