new season
Hey everyone!
I wanted to share a little update on what the past few weeks have looked like.
During this season of resting and seeking the Lord, I started visiting some of the villages He had been putting on my heart. I’ve been meeting families, older people, and kids who live there, and the more time I spend with them, the more I feel the Lord leading me to walk alongside these families and these communities.
At the same time, I’ve been taking some steps of obedience toward getting to know the kids at Maná, a home for children and teenagers between 13 and 17 years old. This week, I had the chance to spend some time with them. We cooked together, played board games and soccer, but more than anything, I had the opportunity to get to know them a little better and hear more of their stories and hearts. It’s been really meaningful to take these first steps in what I believe the Lord has been placing on my heart.
Another part of this season has been learning to do things in the right order and to be intentional with each step. Because of that, we’re beginning the process of officially establishing this work as an NGO. I’ll share the name with you once we know that we can legally use it in Guatemala.
Setting up an NGO also comes with some initial costs. At the same time, I’m continuing to raise personal support so I can keep walking in this calling and cover my personal and ministry needs during this season. So right now, I’m trusting God to provide for both; to continue supporting me personally and to help cover the costs of getting this new work started.
As always, I would really appreciate your prayers for my life, for what God is doing in me, and for what He has ahead. Please pray for wisdom, grace, and favor, that He would open the right doors, and most importantly, that I would continue to walk in obedience to His calling and to what He has for me.
