A New Chapter in My Journey: Guatemala, the Nations, and What God Is Speaking

These past few months have been a beautiful mix of deep joy, and constant wonder. Every day in the house of prayer and every visit to the villages reminds me why I said “yes” to this calling. As a Guatemalan, seeing my own land lift up a sound of worship in the midst of so much need moves me again and again. There are moments during worship or intercession when I feel a lump in my throat because I know God is still finding a willing people here.

In the villages, we’ve seen hands raised for prayer, families open their doors with simple kindness, and local leaders begin to dream about what God can do in their communities. These are places where resources may be limited, but where the presence of Jesus shines with a unique strength. And every time I return home after serving, my heart comes back fuller than when I left.

During this season, we’ve also been training Guatemalans to go to the nations, and that has been one of the greatest gifts of this journey. Watching men and women from our land say, “Here I am, send me,” has challenged me, inspired me, and pushed me to believe even more in what God wants to do through Latin America. Part of our mission has been developing specific training for Latinos, teaching how to serve effectively in houses of prayer, how to intercede with understanding, and how to live a life of intimacy with Jesus no matter what nation we are in.

And in that process while equipping others, sending, teaching, and believing for a Latino movement to the nations, God began to work on my own heart. He taught me to love other nations, to feel His burden for people I had never met, and to walk out the very things I teach. It has felt as if God were saying, “Do you see what I’m doing in them? I want to do that in you too.”

That’s why, with clarity, I feel that next year God is calling me to travel to the Middle East and Europe to support houses of prayer, serve where He opens doors, learn from intercession movements, and let Him expand my heart for what He loves. I also sense the need to take a vision trip to Seville, Spain, to listen to the Lord about future connections and possible spiritual bridges between what He is raising up in Guatemala and what He is doing in other regions.

I won’t lie, this both excites and challenges me. But when God begins to move the heart like this, all we can do is surrender and trust.

I’m sharing this because I don’t walk alone. Many of you have prayed for me, encouraged me, and believed even when I struggled with doubts. Very soon I’ll be sharing more information, specific details, and how you can support or walk with me in this new season. I’m preparing everything slowly and prayerfully, making sure I hear the Lord clearly in every step.

For now, I ask you to continue praying:

  • For clear direction in every decision.

  • For provision for the trips and what’s ahead.

  • For strength and sensitivity to keep serving faithfully in Guatemala as I prepare for this new assignment.

Thank you for being part of this story. Thank you for believing, for walking with me, and for remaining.May Jesus continue to be at the center of it all.
