I sat there, embraced by the quiet beauty of His creation—the gentle whisper of the wind, the soft glow of the setting sun, and the stillness that invited my soul to pause. Amid the distractions of everyday life, I realized that true peace and purpose comes when we focus on Him. As I contemplated the wonders around me, I found solace in knowing that by fixing our eyes on Jesus, we are drawn into a deeper, more fulfilling journey of faith.

Looking back, I can confidently say that January and February felt like a rollercoaster. Life has been full of highs and lows—moments of joy, moments of struggle, and everything in between. Some days, things seem to flow effortlessly, while on others, the weight of responsibilities, emotions, and challenges feels overwhelming. But in the midst of it all, one question keeps echoing in my heart: Where is my focus? Where is my heart?

When the storms of life come—whether big or small—are we keeping our eyes fixed on Jesus? Do we truly see Him at work in our circumstances, or do we get distracted by the chaos around us?

If you’re reading this today, I’d love for you to take just a few minutes to reflect. Think about everything you’ve walked through recently—the victories, the struggles, the moments of doubt. In those moments, were your eyes fixed on Jesus? Or did you let fear, worry, or uncertainty take over?

The book of Hebrews reminds us of something powerful:

“Fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith. For the joy set before him he endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.” — Hebrews 12:2

This verse paints a beautiful picture of faith. Jesus Himself endured the cross, knowing the greater purpose set before Him. He saw beyond the suffering and fixed His eyes on the joy that was to come. What if we did the same? What if, instead of being consumed by the difficulties of today, we lifted our eyes and chose to trust in the One who holds our future?

It’s incredible how our relationship with the Lord changes everything. Now, don’t get me wrong—following Jesus doesn’t mean we won’t face pain, brokenness, or failure. In fact, those moments are often necessary for our growth. But the difference is that with Him, our pain isn’t meaningless. He gives purpose to our suffering, beauty to our brokenness, and strength in our weakness. He opens doors where we see none, provides a way out when we feel trapped, and sometimes, He simply wraps us in His love when we need it most.

Even in my hardest moments, I can see the King of Kings stepping into my life, making things just a little bit better each day. Sometimes He brings clarity when I’m uncertain. Other times, He gives me instructions and direction when I feel lost. And even when I don’t have all the answers, He reminds me that I don’t have to—because He is The Way.

“Jesus answered, ‘I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.’” — John 14:6

So today, no matter where you are or what season you find yourself in, I encourage you: fix your eyes on Jesus. He is the way through the storm, the truth in the confusion, and the life in the midst of weariness. Keep looking to Him, and you’ll find that He has been with you all along.

As I continue walking in faith and serving as a full-time missionary, I ask that you keep me in your prayers. Pray that I stay rooted in His plans, that I continue to trust Him wholeheartedly, and that I am able to reach the people He has called me to serve. Your prayers mean more than you know!
